Jess always had it in the back of her mind to compete and decided that she wanted to start working on her goal and compete next year. After doing some research to find a coach and being inspired by the results of TeamLRF clients on Instagram, she joined the team.
What was lacking before...
I have been training for 6 years and eating mindfully but with no real structure. I’ve gone through one cut (in 2019) which I had done by myself, but had struggled coming back out of it and reverse dieting. Before I would go to the gym and just train. Not tracking any data and no structure to my sessions”
Since working with coach Charlotte, this all changed and Jess is now understanding the importance of tracking workouts and progressive overload
The physical progress...
“I can see a visible difference in muscle gain after the off season I have just finished, and
already being in the second week of my cut I feel like my body composition is improving. I look forward to every workout and love seeing improvements in lifts consistently.”
The mental progress...
“Initially was different for me as I’d never followed a structured plan given to me by someone else. To be honest as the weeks have progressed I’ve enjoyed the challenge even more!
I feel more confident in myself too which is a massive win for me. My consistency with training, confidence in myself and motivation - seeing all the other girls go through their competitions over the last few months has made me excited and want to keep going even more for next year.
I’ve also had my first few lessons on posing for PCA which have been great fun!”
